Frequently asked questions

Pick and Mix Candy is a glorious confectionery tradition where customers select a variety of different sweets from bulk bins to create their own personalized mix, usually paying by weight. In Sweden, this concept is known as Lösgodis (literally "loose candy") and is a deeply ingrained cultural practice, essential to the weekly Lördagsgodis (Saturday Candy) ritual.

Swedish Pick and Mix is considered the best in the world. It is distinguished by:

Vast Variety: Hundreds of options, including many unique Scandinavian-only treats you won't find anywhere else.
Superior Quality: An emphasis on high-quality ingredients, resulting in softer, chewier gummies and incredibly airy foams.
Iconic Flavor Profiles: The inclusion of famous Swedish flavors, particularly intense sour candies and salty licorice (Salmiak), which sets it apart from all other candy traditions.

Your Perfect Mix Starts Here: At NordicBangers.com, we specialize in authentic Swedish Pick and Mix, allowing you to create your perfect custom bag online—the ultimate online source for quality and variety!

The widest and freshest selections are found at dedicated online candy stores that specialize in Scandinavian imports.

NordicBangers.com offers hundreds of authentic Swedish lösgodis options, allowing you to build your perfect custom mix without leaving your home. We are the ultimate online source for quality, freshness, and unparalleled variety.

For a mix that delivers maximum satisfaction, follow the Nordic Bangers "Triple Threat" approach:

Texture Variety (The Foundation): Select a mix of textures. Include soft foam candies (like the iconic BUBS), classic chewy gummies, and satisfyingly sour belts/ropes.
Flavor Balance (The Spice): Ensure you balance your flavors. Include equal parts Sweet Fruits (raspberry, strawberry), Tart/Sour Candies, and at least one Licorice option (for the adventurous!).
Color & Shape (The Fun): Choose a variety of bright colors and whimsical shapes (skulls, bottles, fish, cars) to make your mix visually stunning and fun to eat!

Our fastest-moving inventory follows these major global trends:

Vegan & Gelatin-Free Power: Consumers are prioritizing plant-based options, making brands like BUBS (the star of our gelatin-free range) the fastest-selling pick and mix candy globally.
Maximum Sour Impact: The demand for maximum-impact sour coatings and intensely tart flavors continues to rise—the tangier, the better!
Authentic Scandi Flavors: Unique combinations like salty licorice, foam marshamallows, and raspberry-licorice pairings are booming in popularity outside of Scandinavia.

When buying a mix for a group, follow these simple rules:

Go Vegan/Gluten-Free: Prioritize options that are gelatin-free and/or gluten-free to effortlessly accommodate the most common dietary restrictions.
Buy in Bulk: Estimate that each guest will eat at least 100-150 grams. NordicBangers.com makes buying large, fresh, custom mixes easy and efficient!
Separate the Licorice: Always keep strong flavors, like salty or strong licorice, separate from fruity gummies in your display, as their powerful flavors can transfer.
